3 days ago, an accident happened on Peel. The street where my apartment is.
They were sitting on the patio of a sushi bar. AND THEN... a piece of concrete came off from the building and fall on her. It took her life away... her husband was screaming.....
It was his wife's birthday that day...
She must be really really lucky...
I felt sorry.

Typical montreal civil engineering. Low grade concrete+lazy construction workers+building inspectors who don't give a shit= death.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember when the concrete on the tower at olypmic stadium fell on the field during a game? And when that overpass collapsed and crushed a carf full of people? And when an entire floor of a parkade collapsed and crushed a car with a dude in it? This shit happens all the time in Quebec.
What can I say... Quebec's got it's own way...maybe part of the "French" culture.
